Get Your Head in the Game!®

The main mission of The Kelly Heinz-Grundner Brain Tumor Foundation (KHG) is to raise awareness for brain tumors. In a nutshell, our goal is to shine the light on this disease in a way that has never been done before! To do this, we have spent the last two years working with our advertising agency, WH2P Marketing Communications, to develop an exciting multimedia awareness campaign, that incorporates our trademark slogan "Get Your Head In The Game!®".

We have also been working hard to raise the capital necessary to launch this campaign. Thanks to our recent partnership with The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services and the support of thousands of KHG supporters, we will be launching a three-month pilot of our campaign in New Castle County on September 1, 2008. The campaign - which is dubbed the "Did You Know?" campaign - is designed to blanket the area, so make sure to be on the lookout for our campaign executions in or on a media vehicle near you!

It is important to note that the campaign has two major objectives. The first objective is to educate the public about brain tumor facts and symptoms, as well as, the proper diagnosis techniques. The idea here is that increased awareness will lead to earlier diagnosis and earlier diagnosis will lead to improved outcomes for patients. The second objective is to create a platform for people to get involved in the fight against brain tumors. The bottom line is there simply are not enough people supporting this cause right now and our aim is to change that dynamic for the benefit of the entire brain tumor community. It probably goes without saying, but more people involved translates to more money for important things like research and support. As the old saying goes, "the squeeky wheel gets the oil". As such, our goal is to make the brain tumor cause as squeeky as we can!

Help Us Build Awareness Locally!

One of the most important things you can do to support our work is to become an active member of our grassroots awareness building campaign and help spread the word in your neighborhood or neck of the woods.

The first step is to learn the facts about brain tumors! If you haven't already, click here to get the facts.

The second step is to help us spread the word! Your efforts will help people get the critical information they need and may, ultimately, help save someone's life.

You can do this by (1) directing people the campaign website, www.getyourheadinthegame.org, which will be re-launching on September 1st to coincide with the launch of the awareness campaign and (2) sharing your knowledge about this disease.
