AstraZeneca has initiated enrollment in a randomized, multi-center Phase III clinical trial studying the investigational agent cediranib in patients with recurrent glioblastoma. The Phase III trial program, REGAL, investigates cediranib in recurrent glioblastoma as monotherapy and in combination with chemotherapy compared to chemotherapy alone.
Cediranib is being evaluated as a selective VEGF signaling inhibitor that blocks all three VEGF receptors (VEGFR-1, -2 and -3).*
