The Kelly Heinz-Grundner Foundation recognizes that there are many organizations in the community that are willing to help brain tumor patients and their families battle this terrible and often relentless disease. We understand that there are so many resources to sort through that it is easy for anyone to get overwhelmed. When you are fighting an illness as formidable as a brain tumor, your time and energy are already under enormous constraints. This Patient Support section provides information about organizations that offer great assistance to many but often go unnoticed. As we grow as an organization we will continue to update this information. For now our goal is to provide you with the helpful resources that assisted Kelly's family and friends the most during her illness. During Kelly's illness we found that the area of "Financial Resources" was the one with the least amount of information and resources available. It is of great importance to the Kelly Heinz-Grundner Foundation that we decrease the gap between assistance needed and assistance available to patients. Chris, Kelly's husband, was fortunate enough financially to be able to take time off work to be with Kelly during her illness. However, he knows he was lucky as this is not often the case in many families. Hence, it is part of our mission to provide financial assistance to brain tumor patients and their families.
With all these sections, we've tried to keep the information simple and accessible to help you make the most of your time. With each link or resource provided, there is a brief summary that will hopefully help you navigate through the information and easily assess if it is what you need.
